Father purchased an Ithaca Model 37 in 1957 or 58. He was stationed at Fuchu AFB from 1956-1959. An older Japanese sword maker saw the shotgun and offered to engrave for him. I do not know what price was paid , but my parents were "COUNTING PENNIES" as the saying goes. Dad often said the work deserved more but would not take what had not been agreed to. The 12 gauge wasn't taken as good of care of as it deserved to be, everything - including stock and fore grip I believe are original. Can't afford to display it, so I keep it in a case and bring it out to oil it down once in a while. Hope you enjoy the reworked standard engraving scene.
